One paradox of liberal democracy/secularism is its constant unhappiness with the status quo, its urge to modify and even uproot the current models in order to try new experiments of large-scale social change. This is obviously not sustainable at all, yet it is said this is what one should be looking forward to within one’s nation and around the world.
