It seems the Original Sin doctrine is theologically problematic in Islam since (first and foremost) it opens the door for Trinitarian ideas of the “Son” coming down to earth as a god walking among men – more so than God punishing people of later times for the sins of their parents, which is in fact a hypothetical possibility absent revelation.
